My name is Gemma Lavender and that's me on my wedding day; the day that inspired me to start my own business and plan weddings for others. It all began after planning my own wedding (you can view it here), which I loved every second of organising; I made spreadsheets for everything and had lists coming out my ears! I was in my absolute element. On honeymoon, I wondered what on earth I was going to do when we got home.this is when the idea of Lavender Blue was born!
I really love everything about my job and enjoy seeing everything come together on the day. I am a big softy and almost always cry at the weddings I coordinate! Mainly, because I genuinely care about my client's special day and I look forward to it just as much as them. I especially enjoy assisting with elopements and destination weddings in Edinburgh, as I love being able to recommend the many local suppliers I work alongside, whom I trust wholeheartedly to deliver the best service for my clients.

Gemma was an absolute star.
She planned our wedding with 2 months notice, Took it in her stride and managed to make our day perfect.
Gemma requested a Zoom meeting with us (as we are not based in the UK at the moment) and asked us what exactly we wanted.
On the same day she sent us a choice of venues, vendors, florists, photographers, celebrants, bakeries and hair & make-up artists.
Gemma works with a variety of suppliers and every one of them provided a service of the highest quality.
Although I'm sure booking dress fitting appointments does not normally come in her job description, she even sorted that out for me!

We'd found all the suppliers but finally realised it would be too much of a burden to have our big day without someone at our side coordinating.
Luckily (as it was close to the date) Gemma was available!

Our day went on to be perfect, fun and as peaceful as it could be!
